LITTLE FALLS -- Dolores Maciej, 78, Little Falls, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls.
She was born April 23, 1922, in Swanville, to Zacheus and Mary Ann (Kulas) Warzecha. She attended Swanville schools. She married Joseph Maciej on Aug. 27, 1946, in Sobieski. They farmed in the Swanville area for 26 years. He died on May 23, 1974. She moved to Sobieski and then to the Alverna Apartments. The past three years, she was a resident at St. Otto's Care Center. In 1993, she won the state and national volunteer of the year award. She was an associate with the Franciscan Sisters, a member of Secular Franciscans since 1978, a member of the Rosary Sodality at St. Stanislaus Church, St. Anne's Mission, and St. Gabriel's Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sisters, Dorothy Cecilia Ryden, Champlin, Marcie Levine, Maple Grove, and JoAnn Czeck, Bowlus.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski with Father John Kulas officiating. Father Ray Donnay and Father David Grundman will be concelebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at the Brenny Funeral Home West Chapel in Little Falls and from 8:30 a.m. until the service hour Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rosary Sodality will pray the rosary at 4:30 p.m. today and Secular Franciscan services will be 6 p.m. Parish Prayers will be at 8 p.m. Memorials are preferred to the Sisters of St. Francis.
