The Brainerd Family YMCA will host the last Teen Scene for this school year from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday for fifth- and sixth-graders.

The event will feature music, dodgeball, concession items and pizza. A Guitar Hero contest and Rock Band will be featured. Best Buy is partnering with the YMCA and is sponsoring the dance contest by providing Best Buy gift cards as prizes. Best Buy employees will assist YMCA staff with chaperoning. Carter Trana memorial fund set up

The Carter Trana Memorial Fund has been established at Northern National Bank in Crosslake with proceeds to be used to help Carter's family offset funeral costs.

Carter John Trana, 6, died Sunday after accidentally being crushed by a a ramp on a trailer at his home in Breezy Point.

Airport commission to meet Tuesday

The Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport Commission will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the airport conference room.
