ST. PAUL (AP) -- A man charged with slashing a St. Paul officer this week was accused of assaulting another officer in 1999, but wasn't convicted on that charge.
Raymon Michael Hutchinson, 35, St. Paul, was charged Tuesday with first-degree assault in an attack Sunday that left an officer hospitalized with severe knife cuts on his face and neck, according to the criminal complaint. Robert Stanway was wounded as he and at least four other officers and a police dog tried to restrain Hutchinson on a domestic call.
