Two people died in separate accidents over the Memorial Day weekend in the Brainerd lakes area.
Both accidents occurred Sunday.
The first was a single-vehicle accident reported at 4:02 a.m. on Highway 200 at County Road 13 east of Walker in Cass County, the State Patrol reported.
Richard James Littlewolf, 19, Walker, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Littlewolf, driving on wet road conditions, was southbound on Highway 200 when he went through a stop sign and ran off the road, hitting a tree, the State Patrol reported.
Three passengers in Littlewolf's vehicle were injured. Daniel Hunt, 16, Trista Cloud, 16, and Deanna Cloud, 18, all of Walker, were transported to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D. Deanne Cloud was reported in satisfactory condition today. A hospital spokesperson said there was no information available on Hunt and Trista Cloud.
It has not been determined by the State Patrol if Littlewolf was wearing a seat belt.
The second fatality happened at 6:56 p.m. and occurred at County Roads 10 and 133 in Deerwood Township of Crow Wing County.
Ronald Dean Fuller, 42, Deerwood, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Crow Wing Sheriff's Department reported.
Fuller was driving a motorcycle that collided with a sedan driven by Nolan Patrek, 19, St. Anthony. Patrek was not injured.
