Posted: Friday, May 28, 2010

Rural Minnesota CEP Inc. has funding from the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act to provide on-the-job training in counties with high unemployment. This money is designed to give residents of these counties the opportunity to learn new skills and to improve the economic conditions in these counties and local communities by assisting local employers hire and train new employees during these difficult economic times.

Participants learn specific job skills in actual work situations. The employer provides the training and Rural Minnesota CEP reimburses the employer for part of the participant's training costs. The worker gets a job and the employer gets an employee that is trained to specifications.
