Monster truck shows coming to NCS
Officials from North Central Speedway and AMP Live events have reached an agreement to bring two Monster Truck shows to the Brainerd Lakes area June 26 and 28.
"Thunderslam" featuring the world famous Bigfoot is presented by Mills Ford Lincoln Mercury, Body Works, and Mills Quick Lane Tire and Auto Center.
The Friday night and Sunday afternoon programs will feature many of the same Monster Trucks seen on national TV as well as major stadium shows around the world.
Giant Monster Trucks fly up to 30 feet in the air and crush and destroy cars, trucks, and vans in two-plus hours of ground-pounding excitement.
World famous Bigfoot is scheduled to be at North Central Speedway for Monster Truck shows June 26 and June 28.
This family event will also feature the AMP touring Motocross Super-X stunt team doing jumps and back flips in a freestyle motorcycle exhibition.
Fans will also be treated to side by side stock car action both nights. Friday night the first 500 kids under 14 will receive a free Monster Truck toy.
All ticket-holding fans will be invited to a free one-hour pit party and autograph session before each show. There will also be a Monster truck offering rides throughout the complex.
"We are really excited to be able to bring this type of event to the people of North Central Minnesota," NCS track promoter Tim Boeder said. "Our goal is to make this facility a true family fun place and these two shows will be nothing but top-notch, world-class family entertainment all weekend long.
"There's no need to drive down to the Metrodome, no need to pay for parking, when the same quality of show will take place right here in our back yard."

Tickets will go on sale June 1 with a limited number of $25 VIP reserved seats available. General admission for kids 14 and under is $8 with adults $15 in advance.
