Judging by the turnout at the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers Home Opener Luncheon Thursday at the Legacy at Cragun's the first-year Northwoods League franchise is going to be a hit.
More than 200 people attended the event at which Lunkers players, coaching staff and front-office staff were introduced.
Former Minnesota Twins slugger and Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew was the guest speaker and signed countless autographs following the event.
Killebrew will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Lunkers' opener at 7:05 p.m. Thursday at Mills Field against the St. Cloud River Bats.
