Trent Snyder, Ironton, nabbed two podium finishes (first through third place) in late model racing at asphalt tracks last weekend.

He opened the weekend Friday at the Fergus Falls Raceway season opener by finishing third in the 30-lap feature. He finished fifth in the fast dash.

A night later, he placed second in the 30-lap feature at I-94 Raceway in Sauk Centre. Earlier, he finished fourth in fast dash and was the third-fastest qualifier.

Cory Lease, Pierz, also competed at both raceways in the Great Northern Legends class. He placed fourth in the fast dash on his way to finishing sixth in the feature at Fergus Falls. He finished second in the fast dash and sixth in the feature at Sauk Centre.

Snyder is the points leader at Sauk Centre by five points and Lease is seventh.
