Helen M. Unger

MOTLEY -- Helen M. Unger, 81, Motley, died Friday, May 23, 2003, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.

She was born Jan. 18, 1922, in Swanville Township to Fred and Effie (Mortenson) Beseman. She married Herman Unger on Aug. 20, 1941, in Culdrum Township. They farmed in Culdrum Township from 1941-1978. They sold the farm in 1984 and moved to Lake Shamineau. She worked at Larson Boat Works in Little Falls from 1964-1984. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Motley.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Unger, Minneapolis; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harvey Beseman, Little Falls; and two sisters, Doris Koenig, Swanville, and JoAnn Crumine, Illinois.

Two brothers, Richard and Cy Beseman, died earlier.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Culdrum Township with the Rev. Edward Koehler officiating. Burial will be in Culdrum Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today and an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
