Brainerd area youth programs help with events

Brainerd Lakes Area Lutheran Social Service Youth Services youth and staff will host a community barbecue 3:30-6 p.m. Friday at Gregory Park, near the fountain, in Brainerd to raise funds for Bridges of Hope Crisis Nursery.
Cost is $2 for adults and free for children.
Youth as Resources in Brainerd is providing a grant to pay for barbecue expenses. LSS youth volunteers came up with the project to provide care packages for youths in the crisis nursery. The Bridges of Hope Crisis Nursery is designed to provide emergency care for youths up to age 12.
