PINE CITY -- Adam Janzen and Brain Hallberg are back in familiar territory.
The two Aitkin Gobblers seniors advanced to the Section 7 individual tennis tournament by finishing second in the Subsection 7, Class 1A tournament Monday.
The duo knocked off Mora's Pete Paulson-Seth Thompson in straight sets then beat Jesse Bradley-Joe Olson of Pine City in three sets to advance to the championship match.
The tandem were upset 6-3, 5-7, 7-5 by Duluth Marshall's Andrew Ritts-Scott Pall.
In the singles portion, Roman Haberkorn and Chris Grafft both opened with victories only to lose their second-round matches. The two Gobblers battled each other in the third-place match with Haberkorn beating his teammate 6-0, 3-6, 6-2
