Grieme, S-M Mid-Minn champs

DEERWOOD -- Michael Grieme's 77 gave the Wadena-Deer Creek senior medalist honors and the Staples-Motley Cardinals won the team portion of the Mid-Minn Conference Championship Monday at Cuyuna Country Club.

The Cardinals were led by Travis Wilson's 79, Cory Wilson's 82, Isaac Landecker's 83 and Andrew Murray's 86. S-M paced the field by 17 strokes.

All four along with Derek Orth earned all-conference honors for S-M. Grieme also was all-conference as were Crosby-Ironton's Joe Bauer, Aitkin's Adam Siemers and Josh Dale and Josh Thorson of Pequot Lakes.
