The Brainerd Fire Department Wednesday responded to a small grass fire on the bike trail in the 800 block of South 10th Street.

The cause of the fire, reported at 7:01 p.m., is under investigation.

The Brainerd Fire Department responded at 10:06 p.m. Tuesday to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd for what turned out to be a false alarm.

The Brainerd Fire Department Wednesday responded to a grass fire that damaged a vehicle at a residence in Unorganized Territory.

The fire, reported at 3:19 p.m., happened at the Greg Reikofski residence in the 10000 block of Danielson Road. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $500. And about five acres of grass burned.
