ST. PAUL -- A Taste of Minnesota will unveil the RE/MAX Stage from the Past at the 2003 festival July 2-6 along the Mississippi River in downtown St. Paul.
The stage will feature Chubby Checker, the Temptations, the Turtles, the Rockin' Hollywoods, Mitch Ryder and other acts from the 1950s-1970s. Admission is free.
The RE/MAX Stage will be located on the south end of the Wabasha Bridge in St. Paul. Cold drinks and food will be available at the free festival. This stage is in addition to the Star Tribune Main Stage and the other entertainment taking place on Harriet Island. Concert times will be released at a later date.
The Turtles and the Rockin' Hollywoods will perform July 3. The Temptations Revue, Robbie Vee and the Backseat Boogie Band will perform July 4. Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels, The Buckinghams and The Raven Ons will perform July 5. Chubby Checker, Joey Dee and the Starliters and Lip Service will perform July 6.
