Three Gobblers advance to sections

PINE CITY -- The Aitkin Gobblers doubles team of Brian Hallberg-Adam Janzen and singles player Roman Haberkorn earned their spots in the Section 7, Class 1A individual tournament thanks to their play at the South Subsection meet Wednesday.

Jansen-Hallberg won the subsection with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the championship match.

Haberkorn finished with a 2-1 record to advance.
