NISSWA -- William David Worthington, 87, Nisswa, died Monday, May 19, 2003, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.
He was born June 9, 1915, in Turner, Kan., to Amon and Katty (Brown) Worthington. He married Lea Dyerson on Dec. 31, 1936, in Kansas City, Kan. He was a Realtor for many years. They relocated to Nisswa from Phoenix three years ago. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Baxter, the Christian Businessmen's organization, Promise Keepers, the Lion's Club and the Board of Realtors in Phoenix. He was a former member of Bethany Bible Church, Phoenix.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jan Ahern, East Gull Lake; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Clarence Briggs, Kansas City, Kan., and Everett Briggs, Shawnee, Kan.; and a sister, Ruth Blunt, Lenexa, Kan.
Two brothers, Paul and Alvin, died earlier.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor David Grotzke officiating. Memorials are preferred to First Baptist Church in Baxter.
Arrangements are with Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd.
