Clifford Machen
MINNEAPOLIS -- Clifford Thomas Machen, 28, Minneapolis, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, in Minneapolis.
He was born Aug. 27, 1974, in Minneapolis to Kenneth and Barbara (Smith) Machen. He lived in Minneapolis his entire life.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Machen, Onamia; three sons, Simon Rhodeen-Machen, Minneapolis, Cortez Machen, Minneapolis, and Clifford Machen Jr., Red Lake; a daughter, Barbara Machen, Mille Lacs Lake area; three brothers, George Machen, Mille Lacs Lake area, Kenneth Machen and Terry Kemper, both of Minneapolis; and a sister, Barbara Dee Machen, Minneapolis.
His father, Kenneth Machen; a sister Juanita Gavilan; a grandmother, Francis Smith; and a grandfather, George Smith, died earlier.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Community Center on the Mille Lacs Reservation with Lee Staples officiating. Burial will be in Vineland Cemetery on the Mille Lacs Reservation. Friends may call beginning 4 p.m. today at the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Community Center.
