BREEZY POINT - The Crow Wing County Passenger Safety Coalition, along with the North Crow Wing First Responders, will host a child car seat check-up event from 4-7 p.m. June 16 at the Public Safety Building in Breezy Point.

There is no charge. No drop-ins allowed for this clinic. All car seat checks are by appointment only. For an appointment, call the Brainerd Police Department front office at 829-2805 during business hours. Space is limited, but appointments will be taken until all inspection slots are full. Car seat inspections typically last approximately a half-hour. The clinic will be held indoors.

Pillager schools to offer breakfast, lunch

Pillager Public Schools will offer free breakfast and lunch to all children (up to age 18) from June 8-Aug. 21. Breakfast will be served from 8-9 a.m. in the cafeteria and lunch from 11 a.m.-noon. Use elementary school door "D" for access. Adults may eat breakfast for $1.50 and lunch for $3. Purchase adult meal tickets in advance at the district office.
