BROOKLYN PARK -- Lynn Marie Hegland, 57, Brooklyn Park, died Friday, May 16, 2003, at home.
She was born April 7, 1946, in Pine City to Goldie and Bernie Felten. They moved to Robbinsdale where she attended Robbinsdale High School. She graduated in 1964. After graduation she worked as a model for one of the first Target retail stores in Crystal. Later she trained and worked as a dental assistant. After marrying, she moved to the Crosby-Ironton-Deerwood area. She lived there for many years, co-owning and managing Range Rexall. Later she worked as a cashier at Mr. Meats in Crosby while attending bookkeeping classes at Brainerd vo-tech. She was a member of a softball team and bowled with a league for several years. She also served as a den mother and Cub Scout leader. In 1990 she returned to the Twin Cities and lived in Brooklyn Park. She worked as a cashier for Rainbow and Cub stores.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelin Hegland, Minneapolis; a son, Lance Hegland, Minnetonka; her mother, Annandale; her father and stepmother, Bernard and Marge Felten, Pine City; three sisters, Murriel Shimek, New Richmond, Wis., Neysa Ballman, Silver Creek, and Cindy Hultman, Clearwater; and a brother, Mark Felten, Annandale.
Services were today at Swanson Chapel in Pine City with the Rev. Vicki VanderVegt officiating. Burial was in Birchwood Cemetery in Pine City.
