HINCKLEY -- Crosby-Ironton's Sam Welle battled high winds and chilly conditions as she carded an 81 for medalist honors in the Subsection 25 girls' golf tournament at Grand National on Tuesday.
Welle's score, along with teammate Sarah Uglem's 86, helped the Rangers win the subsection team title and advance to the section tournament.
Advancing for Aitkin were Emily O'Neil and Melissa Welshons.
