The Lakes Area Lightning won two Lake and Pine League games and an exhibition game in amateur baseball last weekend.
On Sunday, the Lightning beat Red Eye 7-0 in the first game of a Lake and Pine doubleheader.
Drew Boland went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI for the Lightning. Aaron Jenkins was 2-2, Mark Germain 2-3 with a double and two RBIs and Kevin Mertens 2-4.
Aaron Jenkins pitched a complete-game shutout. He allowed three hits, struck out six and walked none.
In Game Two, Brett Jenkins was 1-for-1 with four runs, Tony Parrish was 2-3 with three runs, Fred Weiss was 1-2 with a double and two RBIs and Boland was 1-3 with a double and RBI.
Danny Nichols pitched three innings to get the win. He gave up no hits, struck out four and walked three.
On Friday, the Lightning defeated Harding 10-2 at Pierz. Morgan Shepherd was 2-for-5, Drew Boland was 2-4 with a home run and five RBIs, Chris Klabo 2-3 with a double, Mark Germain 4-5 with a double and David Berndgen was 2-5.
Brett Cloutier pitched six innings to get the win. He gave up three hits and no runs, struck out seven and walked three. Berndgen pitched two innings, allowing two runs and striking out two.
