June H. Loftis, 75, Brainerd, died Saturday, May 17, 2003, at the Greater Staples Hospital.
She was born June 29, 1927, in St. Paul to Fred and Irma (Redmann) Huebner. She moved to Staples in 1933, and lived there until her marriage to Martin J. Loftis on May 11, 1947. They lived in Motley until 1958 when they moved to Brainerd. She worked at the Riverview Motel for many years, and later at the Brainerd Public Library and Kmart. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd and the VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, James Loftis; two sisters, Delores Larson, Long Prairie, and Beverly Swenson, Staples; and two brothers, Larry Huebner, Staples, and Freddie Huebner, Staples.
Her husband; parents; two brothers, Warren and George Huebner; and two sisters, Arline Robben and Margie Carlson, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Paul Biegner officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and one hour before services Thursday at the church.
