The Crow Wing County Health Department offers a supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children.

The WIC program provides nutrition education, referrals to medical providers and vouchers for certain foods for pregnant and postpartum women and those who are nursing, and infants and children up to age 5.

Clinics are held the first Tuesday of every month in Pequot Lakes, the first Thursday and following Friday of each month in Crosby and several days each month in Brainerd.

The income threshold to qualify is set fairly high. For example, a family of four with an income of $45,924 may be eligible for the program. For more information or to make an appointment, call 824-1073.
