Lastrup's Weiss strikes out 14

PIERZ - Chad Weiss pitched a complete game with 14 strikeouts, in addition to going 1-for-3 with a two-run triple to lead the Lastrup Lakers to a 4-3 win over St. Mathias in Victory League amateur baseball Saturday.

Nathan Janson was 2-3 with a stolen base and a run and Rick Schlieman had an RBI single for the Lakers. Chuck Boser had an RBI single in the Lastrup eighth.

Zach Heidmann was 2-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored for the Devils.

Braves 7, Pierz Brewers 1

The Brainerd Braves scored five times in the sixth and went on to defeat the Pierz Brewers 7-1 on Sunday.

Chris Munsch had a two-run double and Jamie LaDouceur added a run-scoring single in the Braves' sixth.

Jason Roepke struck out seven in seven innings, allowing one run on six hits. He also had three hits and drove in two runs.

Eric Boser drove in the lone Brewers run with a double.

Lastrup 10, Foley 2

FOLEY - Jason Sadlovsky and John Pohlkamp each hit two-run homers to lead the Lastrup Lakers past Foley 10-2 on Sunday.

Sadlovsky and John Pohlkamp hit two-run homers for the Lakers. Sadlovsky finished 2-2 with two runs and two RBIs and Pohlkamp went 2-4 with three RBIs.

Dan Saehr took the win, going five innings while striking out six.

Harding 3, Buckman 1

HARDING - Joel Hendrickson and Dan Rocheleau combined on a six-hitter as Harding downed Buckman 3-1 Sunday.

Hendrickson blanked the Billygoats for six innings, striking out four.

Curt Caughey's RBI single in the seventh gave Harding a 2-0 lead.

Gary Woitalla was 3-4 with a run and three steals for the Dinosaurs.

Todd Robinson was 2-4 with the lone RBI for Buckman.

St. Mathias 6, Pierz Bulldogs 0

ST. MATHIAS - Bill Aamodt shut out the Pierz Bulldogs on a two-hitter Sunday while striking out eight as the St. Mathias Devils won 6-0.

Adam Hardy had an RBI double in the sixth and a sacrifice fly in the seventh as he drove in two runs.

Matt Siegel was 2-3 for St. Mathias.

Paul Herman took the loss for Pierz and was 1-4 at the plate.

Fort Ripley 13, Cuyuna Range 6

CROSBY - The Fort Ripley Rebels trailed the Cuyuna Range Miners 6-5 with two outs in the ninth, but exploded for eight runs and beat the Miners 13-6 Sunday.

Rhett Williamson led the offense with four hits and two RBIs while Jason Sather and Robbie Veith added two hits and two RBIs.

Matt Jones was 2-3 with an RBI for the Miners.
