Peter Dadian

NORTH BRANCH -- Peter Dadian, age 96, formerly of Pequot Lakes, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at Green Acres Country Care Center, North Branch. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, May 21, 2004, at St. Alice Catholic Church in Pequot Lakes, Father George Zeck to officiate. Burial will be in the Pequot Lakes City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2004, at Willim-Northland Funeral Home in Pequot Lakes.

Peter Dadian was born on Aug. 15, 1907, in the country of Armenia, the son of Sam and Marie Dadian. At age 12, he came with his family to the United States and he was raised and educated in South Milwaukee, Wis. Peter married Kathryn Busscher in 1933 in Illinois. He had worked as manager of the Bronx Cleaners in Skokie, Ill. In 1965, he moved to the lakes area where he owned and operated Piney Way Resort on Pelican Lake. In 1973, he sold the resort and moved to Pequot Lakes. He lived in his home in Pequot Lakes until October of 2003 when he entered the care center in North Branch.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Johnson, Chisago Lakes; and grandsons, Michael Johnson and Barry Johnson; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife (1977), grandson, Gregory, great-granddaughter, Sarah, and a sister, Rose.
