Gulls sign another Centenary pitcher

The Brainerd Mighty Gulls of the Northwoods League signed right-handed pitcher Robbie Buhl of Centenary College.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound junior from Dallas, Texas, saw considerable action for the Gents this season. He went 2-3 in 15 appearances and 10 starts. In 44 innings he struck out 36 batters and had a 7.36 ERA. Buhl also had a save and two complete games.

In his first two seasons, Buhl was used primarily out of the bullpen, compiling a 0-2 record for the Gents.

At Lakes Highlands High School, Buhl played all nine positions and once went 4-for-4 with three home runs and a triple in one game.

Check the Mighty Gulls web site (www.mightygulls.com) for team and league information. If you would like to host a Mighty Gulls player for the summer call Chuck Carstensen at 828-8901.
