Larry Knight, 60, Willmar, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, in Willmar.
He was born Nov. 12, 1939, in Winnipeg, Canada, to Wilfred and Pearl (Saunders) Knight. At age 8, his father died and the family moved to Hannah, N.D. He graduated from Hannah High School in 1957 and from North Dakota State University in 1961 with a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. He married Beverly Grieve on May 28, 1961, in Hannah. They lived in Wadena and Brainerd and moved to Willmar in 1964. He was a pharmacist with Thrifty White Drug for 36 plus years, retiring in 1998. He was active with the Willmar Area Chamber, past president of Eagle Creek Golf Board, Elks Club and served on the Rice Health Services Board from 1994-98. He also was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; his mother and stepfather, Pearl and Art King, Hannah; two daughters, Lauri Ballis, San Diego, Calif., and Cindy Williams, Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Ronald, Bismarck, N.D., and Chris, Trenton, N.D.; a sister, Linda Sucher, Dayton, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
His brother died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church in Willmar with the Revs. Dan Hair, Dean Elton Johnson and Bob Poe officiating. Private burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.
