Rose Knopik

LITTLE FALLS -- Rose Knopik, 85, Little Falls, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at St. Otto's Care Center of Little Falls.

She was born Oct. 11, 1914, in Pike Creek Township to John and Veronica (Piekarski) Zilka. She attended Brickyard School, District 1190. She married Ben Knopik on May 14, 1934, in Little Falls. After their marriage, they farmed in Flensburg before moving to Little Falls in 1942. They farmed until retiring in 1967. She was a senior member of Christian Mothers and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Survivors include five sons, Theodore, Little Falls, Ben Jr., Faribault, Richard, Swanville, Robert, Little Falls, and Edward, Little Falls; two daughters, Patricia Borash, Bowlus, and Bernadette Hansmann, Little Falls; 33 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, a daughter, Genevieve Boser, four grandchildren, a great-grandchild and 14 brothers and sisters died earlier.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Little Falls with Father Leroy Kremer officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, with Christian Mothers praying at 4:30 p.m. and parish prayers at 8 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. until services Monday at the Brenny Funeral Home-West Chapel of Little Falls.
