The Mid-Minnesota Builders Association announced the following individuals as recipients of $1,000 scholarships.
Brandon Patnode, Pine River-Backus High School, will major in construction electrician at Northwest Technical College in Wadena.
Randy Melby, Pine River-Backus High School, will major in plumbing and heating at Northwest Technical College in Wadena.
Anthony Sewell, Brainerd High School, will major in mechanical/drafting at Central Lakes College, Staples campus.
The scholarship awards will be presented at the MMBA general membership meeting Tuesday at Paul Bunyan's Bar and Grill. Supporters of the 2000 MMBA Home Show concession's booth contributed to the scholarships.
MMBA to hold meeting Tuesday
The Mid-Minnesota Builders Association's May meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Paul Bunyan's Bar and Grill.
Social hour will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Following dinner, there will be scholarship presentations and guest speaker Ted Takasaki of Lindy Little Joe's. Meeting sponsors are People's Security Co. and Voice Stream Wireless.

Habitat For Humanity auction set
Lakes Area Habitat For Humanity has received a 5,000-square-foot house and will auction items from the house as a fund raiser.
Anything removable will be for sale. Items such as doors, windows, gas fireplaces, cabinets and more are available. Sale dates are June 16-17.
