NISSWA - A 49-year-old Lake Shore woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday on Highway 371, two miles south of Nisswa, the State Patrol reported.
While in high school, the now-27-year-old Chrissy Thell spent summers guiding canoe trips in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
Not your typical day at the beach
With strong winds blowing off Pelican lake, a group of 60 volunteers huddled along the shoreline of the Elks Camp on Pelican Lake, planting native seedlings Saturday. The group was made up of Girl Scouts, Elks members, Master Gardeners, DNR members, University of Minnesota Extension personnel and members of the Pelican Lake Property Owners Association.
