Layton R. Ellis

EVERETT, Wash. - Layton R. Ellis, Everett, Wash., 68, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007, in Everett, Wash. He was born Nov. 4, 1938, in Brainerd to Jerrold and Myrtle Ellis. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1956 and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956-1958.

He is survived by his sons, Gary, of Everett, Wash., Tommy (Oksu), of Federal Way, Wash.; his daughter, Jacqueline (Marc) Hall, of Everett, Wash.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his mother, Myrtle; his siblings, Harley (June), Kay (John) Theien and Bonnie (Gene) Jacobs, all of Brainerd.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerrold; and his son, Larry.

Services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brainerd on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Skinner officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
