Encore Arts Association meeting

Spring fling boogie

The first spring fling boogie will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Senior Center. This is a free Crow Wing County intergenerational event where all participants will learn how to polka, 4-square waltz, two step, line dance and circle Shottish. For more information, call 851-3676.

Whittier Elementary School students will dance around the May pole from 3:15-4:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Senior Center.

Backus Lions Club annual sale

The Backus Lions Club annual yard and bake sale will be 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Corner Store in Backus, junction of Highways 371 and 87 West.

Spring rummage/garage sale

Clothes Closet closing for summer
