Error helps Pequot

PEQUOT LAKES -- Jenna Carlson scored on an error in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Pequot Lakes Patriots a 1-0 victory over the Park Rapids Panthers in non-conference softball Thursday.

Carlson led off the third with a double and advanced on a groundout. Park Rapids catcher Kacey Grishell attempted to pick her off but the throw sailed into left field.

The Pirates' Cherice Fuller was 3-for-5 with two triples and four RBI.
