WADENA -- Tyler Pederson finished second at No. 4 singles, beating Michael Sykala of Staples-Motley and Josh Rimpala of New York Mills before falling to Zach Kangas of Detroit Lakes in the championship round of the Mid-State Conference tennis meet Saturday.

The No. 3 doubles team of Brent Lawson and Jason Hall grabbed runners-up honors as the won their first two matches but fell in the title match to Bob Isakson and Sam Neitzke of Detroit Lakes.
