FORT RIPLEY -- Mike Innes had a game for the ages as the Brainerd Braves beat the Ft. Ripley Rebels 9-8 in 13 innings Sunday in Victory League baseball.

Not only did Innes go 4-for-7 from the plate, he hit for the cycle, including what turned out to be a game-winning home run in the top of the 13th inning. He then preserved the win for the Braves by throwing out the potential game-tying run at home plate from left field.

Ben Houle added three hits for the Braves while Brad Streiff and Nick Engebretson each had two hits.

Tony Veith went 3-6 for the Rebels while Jason Sather, Rob Veith, Curt Veith and Jim Kramer each had two hits.
