Oct. 30, 2002 -- Erika Dalquist is seen leaving downtown Brainerd with a white male.
Nov. 1, 2002 -- Colleen and Duane Dalquist, her parents, report her missing after Dalquist's Brainerd roommate tells the family that she hadn't come home.
Nov. 12, 2002 -- The first mass search for Dalquist by volunteers and law enforcement officers takes place in wooded areas in and around Brainerd.
Nov. 25, 2002 -- Brainerd police announced they had information leading them to believe Dalquist was the victim of foul play and new searches were conducted near Highways 371 and Business 371 south of Brainerd.
Dec. 13, 2002 -- Brainerd police officers searched a pond along Morrison County Road 45 about three miles south of the Crow Wing County-Morrison County line. The pond was pumped empty, but nothing was found.
Jan. 15, 2003 -- Based on information received from the main suspect in the case, a search was started in the 189-foot deep Virginia Mine Pit Lake, near Trommald. The Crow Wing County Dive Team searched the lake, and William Gene Myears was charged with second-degree manslaughter in connection with Dalquist's disappearance.
Jan. 31, 2003 -- Citing the need for more time to investigate the case before bringing it to a grand jury, Brainerd police investigators and Crow Wing County Attorney Don Ryan drop the charge against Myears.
Feb. 18, 2003 -- The Colorado-based Trident Foundation, a non-profit organization specializing in aquatic investigation and recovery, searched Virginia Mine Pit lake using two remote-operated vehicles.
April 14, 2003 -- As part of its Spotlight on Crime, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety offers a reward of up to a $50,000 for information that leads to the location of Dalquist.
Oct. 29, 2003 -- On the eve of the one-year anniversary of her disappearance a vigil for Dalquist is held in front of Tropical Nites in downtown Brainerd.
April 28 -- Law enforcement and the Dalquist family begin searches of areas near the Myears property.
May 16 -- Dalquist's remains are found, buried in a wooded area on the Myears property.
