LAKE SHORE -- Richard Glenn Johnson, 75, Lake Shore, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at home.
He was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Minneapolis to Arthur and Helen Johnson. He had an eighth-grade education. He was a self-taught engineer and N/C programmer with FMC Corp., of Fridley. After retiring he moved from Spring Lake Park to Lake Shore in 1989. He and his wife, Patricia, lived in Lake Shore for six months and in Winterhaven, Fla., for six months.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Steve Johnson, Anoka, Gregory Johnson, Rochester, Mark Johnson, Edina, and Phil Johnson, Plymouth; two daughters, Ruth Johnson, Nisswa and Anoka, and Helen Ann Johnson, Minneapolis; two stepsons, Jim Kampmann, Brooklyn Center, and Tom Kampmann, Plymouth; a stepdaughter, Kris Fanberg, Minnetonka Beach; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanette and Lois; and two brothers, Robert and Clifford.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Nisswa with Father George Zeck officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Nisswa. Military honors will be provided Nisswa American Legion Post No. 627.
