Pequot Lakes romps past Pillager 24-3 in area softball

PILLAGER -- The Pequot Lakes Patriots improved to 10-4 overall with a 24-3 Park Region Conference softball triumph over the Pillager Huskies on Tuesday.

Megan Arns went 2-for-5 with a home run, triple and five RBI for the Patriots. Lis Kraft went 4-for-5 with one RBI and two runs scored and Jenna Carlson, Carly Blanksma and Christine Fox all rapped out three hits for Pequot.

Emma Hoglund picked up the win on the mound, allowing only one hit with eight strikeouts.

Kris Omberg pitched both games for the Lakers, recording six strikeouts in game one and five strikeouts in game two.

WILLMAR -- The Willmar Cardinals jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one inning and went on to defeat the Little Falls Flyers 6-1 in Central Lakes Conference action Tuesday.

Carrie Cluka was 1-for-2 with a walk for the Flyers.
