Kinzer serves as national consultant

Posted: Saturday, May 15, 2004

Char Kinzer, public relations manager for Crow Wing Power, was instrumental in forming a program here and developing it for other Touchstone Energy Coopera-tives nationwide.

The benefit card program began in April 2002 with Crow Wing Power, which is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative.

Touchstone Energy is a group of more than 600 electric cooperatives throughout the nation. The program, called the Co-op Connections card program, mimics Crow Wing Power's member benefit card.

The card provides cooperative members in the nation with access to exclusive discounts at local, regional and national businesses.

A card member in Michigan, for example, will be able to use the card at participating businesses in the Brainerd lakes area.

Kinzer now will serve as a national consultant to cooperatives that wish to implement the program. Crow Wing Power serves more than 32,000 members in north central Minnesota.
