Raiders take Willis Invitational title
WADENA --The Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Raider boys' track and field team finished first at the Willis Invitational Monday.
Pillager finished second, followed by Pine River-Backus and Wadena-Deer Creek took fourth.
The W-DC girls' captured first followed by Pequot Lakes. B-H/V came in fourth, and Pine River-Backus was seventh.
Joe Whittemore of PR-B was first in the 100- and 200-meter dashes. Keith Radniecki placed first in both the shot put and the discuss for B-H/V.
Becca Immonen from W-DC dominated the field, taking three first places. She won the 100, 200 dashes and the Pole Vault for the Wolverines. Amy Jackson from B-H/V recorded firsts in both the 100 and 300 hurdles.
