William H. Prince

LAKE SHORE -- William Henry Prince, 81, Lake Shore, died Friday, May 11, 2001, at St. Joseph's Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 18, 1919, in Grandridge, Ill., to Eli and Emma (Hart) Prince. He attended school in Ottawa, Ill. He entered the Army in 1940 and served during World War II. He married Ruth Beaumont on Nov. 5, 1943. He was discharged in 1945. They lived in East Peoria, Ill., and he worked as a printer. They moved to Lake Shore in 1963. He worked at Lakeland Color Press until his retirement in 1981. His wife died in April 1989. He married Lois Frederick on Jan. 16, 1990, in Peoria, Ill.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Marette Plumer, Trivoli, Ill.; two sons, William F. Prince, La Honda, Calif., and Mark Prince, Baxter; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

His first wife died earlier.

Services will be private.
