James R. Pankratz

BEMIDJI - James R. Pankratz, age 67, of Bemidji, formerly of Staples, passed away at the Oakland Mercy Hospital in Oakland, Neb., on May 10, 2009. A funeral service is planned for Friday, May 15, at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples with Father Scott Wittkop officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. Burial will be at the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Jim is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Ann Marie Petersen, of St. Cloud, Dan (Cheri), of Bemidji, Becky Pankratz, of Montrose, Patty (Matt) Mundorf, of Lincoln, Neb., and Bob (Teresa), of St. Cloud; 10 grandchildren; brother, Richard (Laura), of Staples; sister, Arlene Fraser, of St. Cloud; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Rueben and Helen (Bienusa) Pankratz; brother, Clarence; and nephew, Mike.

Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
