The Brainerd Warriors baseball program will conduct its first alumni recognition day before Thursday's 5 p.m. game against Willmar at Adamson Field.
Alumni are asked to arrive between 4:30 and 5 p.m. and register at the front gate. Alumni will be recognized on the field before the entrance.
Former players will be eligible to win entered in a drawing for autographed bats and caps. Each alum will receive a Warrior baseball record book, Warrior pen, bottle of Warrior water, baseball with a Warrior logo and a certificate for a free hot dog and pop. An informal gathering is scheduled at Shep's on 6th following the game.
The family of former Warriors coach Kermit Aase will be presented with a plaque by Dan Anderson and Ray Austin, organizers of the alumni event.
Former Warriors assistant coach Arnold "Casey" Stengel will throw out the ceremonial first pitch to former Warrior player Bill Selisker.
Alumni T-shirts will be on sale for $12, with proceeds to help support VFW and Legion baseball programs.
