VERNDALE - Aaron Jenkins and Drew Boland homered as the Nisswa Lightning beat the Verndale Bison 13-3 in an eight-inning Lane and Pine League game Sunday.
Aaron Jenkins was 3-for-3 with a home run, double, two RBIs, four runs and two walks. Brett Jenkins was 2-5 with two singles and a walk. Boland drove in three runs and was hit by a pitch.
In five innings Brandon Hilts allowed one earned run and five hits, walked two and struck out seven to get the win.
Brett Cloutier pitched the final three innings, allowing an earned run, walked two and struck out five.
