WADENA - Wadena-Deer Creek and Crosby-Ironton split a Mid-State Conference softball doubleheader Friday.

Behind Kayla Youngbauer's 2-for-2 effort at the plate and two stolen bases, Wadena-Deer Creek came away with a 3-0 victory in game one.

The Rangers battled back to take game two 3-2.

STAPLES - Hannah Wagner had the lone hit for Staples-Motley in a 12-0 loss to Ottertail Central in softball action Friday.

Abby Edin took the loss for the Cardinals.
