A number of Brainerd boys' basketball developmental camps have been scheduled this summer.
Instructors will be Matt Urbanek, Warrior coaching staff and Warrior players. All camp participants will receive a T-shirt.
Future Warrior Shooters, Passers and Dribblers, grades 2-3, this camp will focus on shooting the ball correctly, dribbling with both hands, catching the ball and passing. Forestview gym, 9 to 11 a.m., June 1115, $40
Warrior Developmental Camp, grades 4-5, players will work on fundamentals and improving knowledge of the game. All areas of the game will be covered: rebounding, ballhandling, shooting technique, passing, team play, stance and footwork, guard and post play, defensive fundamentals and more. Forestview gym, 9 to 11 a.m., June 1822, $40.
Warrior Developmental Camp, grades 6-7, players will work on the fundamentals with considerable time spent on the basics of team offense and defense. Participants will work toward mastering the skills of rebounding, ballhandling, shooting, passing, stance and footwork, guard and post play. Forestview gym, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., June 1115, $40.
Warrior Developmental Camp, grades 8-9, players will work to improve their fundamentals. All areas of basketball will be covered. Emphasis will be on developing shooting habits, footwork, ball handling, guard and post play, and offensive and defensive team fundamentals. Forestview gym, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., June 1822, $40.
Warrior Development Camp, grades 10-12, this camp will focus on individual skills and team play necessary to compete at the high school varsity level. This will be a high intensity camp for serious basketball players who want to play at the varsity level. Brainerd High School gym, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., July 913, $30.
