Daryl Ray Harris, age 63, Brainerd, Minn., died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minn.

Memorial services will be held at the VFW in Brainerd on May 19 starting at 2:30 p.m.

Daryl Harris was born Oct. 24, 1943, in Heron, Minn., to Daryl and Verla (Benjamin) Harris. He married Dorlynne "Lynne" Dixon on Feb. 25, 1996, in Big Bear Lake, Calif. Daryl enjoyed spending time with friends and family, riding motorcycle, fishing and bird hunting.

Survivors include wife, Lynne Harris, of Brainerd, Minn.; father, Daryl (Vivian) Harris, of Pillager, Minn.; sons, Darrin Almeida and Daryl Almeida, both of Hawaii; daughter, Dina Smith, of Hawaii; brother, Terry Harris, of Brainerd, Minn.; sister, Sandra (Harris) Ellstrom, of Lakeland, Minn.; half sister, Dahrys Knetter, of Hampton, Minn.; aunt Lurline Newman, of Brainerd, Minn.; uncles David and Dana Harris, both of Deerwood, Minn.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Verla; uncles Veryl, Louis and Dale; aunt Dahrys "Birdie;" and son, Donnie.
