Mary Walls
BAXTER - Mary Walls, age 71, resident of Baxter, died Saturday, May 9, 2009, at her home.
Mary was born Dec. 29, 1937, in International Falls, Minn., to George and Anne (Carroll) Makidon. She graduated from International Falls High School in 1956. She married Elmer Walls on April 4, 1959, in International Falls. Mary was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and St. Helena's Guild. She was a longtime volunteer at St. Joseph's Medical Center gift shop and helped make rosaries with the rosary ladies.

Survivors include two sons, Robin and Carrie Walls and Todd and Susan Walls; two daughters, Becky and Jim Butcher and Debbie and Scott Singer; 13 grandchildren; three sisters, Patricia Kurtz, Rose Marie Harcus and Doreen Makidon.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer and her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Thursday, May 14, at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Waweru officiating. Burial will be in the Baxter City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church with a rosary to start at 11:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
