Marilyn J. Gendron

TEMPLE, Texas -- Marilyn J. Gendron, 68, of Temple, Texas, died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at her home surrounded by family. Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2005, at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Temple with the Revs. Merry Wilburn and George Udell officiating. Interment will be at St. Francis Columbarium following cremation.

Mrs. Gendron was born in Sioux Falls, S.D., to Mr. and Mrs. F.H. (Jack) Marlow. She married Charles R. Gendron in Pillager, Minn., on Sept. 21, 1956. She was a remarkable woman who was devoted to her family, friends and church.

Preceding her in death was her father, F.H. (Jack) Marlow; her sister, Betty Franklin; and granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Gaspard.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; her children and their spouses, Jo Ellen and Gary Gaspard, Jilene Gendron, Virginia "Jenny" and Robert Jamroz, Dawn and Todd Schiller, Paul Gendron; eight grandchildren; her mother, Ellen Simi; her brother, Joseph (Jack) Marlow, and his wife, Marlys; and her sisters, Karen Harris and Nancy Marlow.

Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 10, 2005. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church Endowment Foundation or Scott and White Cancer Research.
