CROSBY -- The Crosby-Ironton Junior-Senior High School Choirs, directed by Wayne Ellingsen, will present their annual Spring Pop Concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Mayberry Auditorium.
Performing in the concert will be The Varsity Choir, The Girls' Triple Trio, The Chamber Singers, The Boys' Quartet and The Concert Choir.
Providing a lot of variety to finish this year's choral concerts, the spring concert will include music of a lighter style, including songs from motion pictures, oldies and newer pop music.
Musical selections will include "Everything I Do, I Do It For You" from Robin Hood arranged by Ginsburg, "Duke Of Earl" arranged by Lojeski, "The Shoop Shoop Song" arranged by Emerson, "Built Me Up Buttercup" arranged by Schmutte, "Jump, Jive an' Wail" arranged by Huff, "Medley from Jekyll and Hyde" arranged by Huff, "Lullaby, Good Night My Angel" arranged by Huff, and "When The Saints Go Marchin' In" arranged by McLeod.
Singing solos with the choirs will be Madina Hagberg, Mallory Larson, Kate Eksten, John Juracek, Cal Presisinger and Alicia Santi.
Mallory Larson and Ben Kile were both selected to be members of the 2000-2001 All State Choirs. They will sing their audition and contest solos.
Accompanying the choirs on piano will be Julia Henderson, Krista Anderson, Maiya Hachey and Judie Johnson. Accompanying the choir with a Dixieland band will be Cassie Sander, Amber Novotny, Jeremy Reem, Matt Kobberdahl, Tim Faatz, Katie Baratto, Molly Ravnik, Joseph Oreskovich, Matt Patton, Darin White, Brian Kirzeder, Justin Smith and Mikael Christensen.
The National School Choral Award and The Director Choral Award will be presented along with certificates and recognition of the 17 seniors of the Concert Choir.
Admission for the concert is $2 for adults while students are admitted free.
